Archiact Interactive Ltd. is “a team of wild virtual reality developers on a mission to create the most seamless VR experiences possible,” which is “extremely cool, one of a kind and just generally awesome.” The company was founded by Frank Shen (Stock Market Professional) in 2013. Since then, they have been hard at work in perfecting the VR experience.
One of Archiact first and most successful games is “Lamper VR: First Flight.” In this game, you “fight your way through a series of treacherous tunnels through the eyes of a firefly bug called Lamper.” The game can be played on Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. It utilizes head-motion to guide the firefly through the obstacles. The game has been downloaded over 1 million times. This compelled them to create a sequel, “Lamper VR: Firefly Rescue.”
Their other creative games include Waddle Home (Built for Samsung Gear VR), The Ultimate Pursuit (Available for China gamers), Thunder Blaster VR (Coming Soon), Magic Book (Coming Soon) and many other games.
Archiact Interactive Ltd. has also teamed up with other VR development companies to publish engaging and fun games. This includes House of Languages (Language Education app), Audio Arena (Gameplay generated by music), Deep Space Battle VR and Darknet (Won Oculus VR Jam “Grand Prize” 2013, Golden Sushi Awards “Top 10 of PAX” 2014 and The Proto Awards “Best Gameplay” 2014.”)
Besides developing awesome games, they also host the “VR Game Jam.” This allows game developers, enthusiasts, investors and the like to experience cool VR demos, as well as expand their network. Their next Jam, dubbed VR Game Jam: Global Archiact Jam 2016, will be hosted on April 8 -24. If you are a VR developer, you have the chance to win “3 HTC Vive Headsets & Demo space at the worlds first consumer Virtual reality Conference.” You can learn more via http://globalarchiactjam.devpost.com/.
