Flatbox Studios has Developed an Open Range First-Person-Shooter Game Titled Skeet: VR

It is no doubt that first-person-shooter(FPS) games in virtual reality is a pretty intense experience. Especially with games like Raw Data(HTC Vive) and Farpoint(PSVR), which require you to watch your back and utilize strategic maneuvers to evade incoming enemy attacks. But these game may just be a little too intense for the newcomer of VR.

Flatbox Studios has created a less anxiety-induced game with their release of Skeet: VR. It is an early launch title for HTC Vive, currently free on Steam VR. The game takes place in an open field with trees, boulders and mountains surrounding you with one simple objective: shoot the targets.

You are given a choice of three different shotguns to begin your shooting spree. Once you choose one, you simply shoot the game mode you want to play, which includes ‘Skeet Mode’, ‘QuickDraw’ and ‘Trap mode.’ Skeet Mode objective is to shoot as many targets as possible which are being shot from a skeet machine, while QuickDraw’s objective is to shoot 3 bulls-eye targets as fast as possible. Trap mode is like skeet mode but with pigeons and UFOs.

If you’re a person who strives for achievements in Steam, Skeet: VR definitely has a few that will put your skills to the test, such as ‘Spin Me Around'(Get a time below 2 seconds in Quickdraw) or ‘Stop the Invasion'(Shoot down 50 UFOs). VRFocus has the complete full list of achievements you can obtain.

Overall, Skeet: VR has a pretty high rating for people who’ve played it. Though the game is pretty impressive for what it is, this is still their only game produced for VR. If you want to see more of what they can create or want to connect with them, you can do so through Twitter @FlatboxStudios.
